We pledge to make Prudential a place where you can Connect, Grow, and Succeed.Reporting to the Manager of General Accounting &amp; Reconciliation, this position shall manage the Bank Reconciliation section by ensuring that the bank reconciliation process is performed on a daily basis by following the applicable standard operating procedures and internal policies.Principal Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Review the reconciliation of receipts and payments of the Company’s operating bank accounts.</li><li>Review the investigation performed on the unreconciled items to ensure the open items are reconciled and resolved in a timely manner.</li><li>Review the resolution of open items and ensure that they are matched correctly in the Bank Reconciliation System.</li><li>Review the proposed journal entries to resolve the open items.</li><li>Ensure the GL bank balance is reconciled against the bank statement balance.</li><li>Monitor and track the aging of the bank reconciliation open items.</li><li>Prepare bank reconciliation month end report.</li><li>Review the validation of merchant fees for premium collections from all channels.</li><li>Update the relevant standard operating procedures to ensure relevance, as and when required.</li><li>Support, guide and lead team members in the investigation and resolution of the open items.</li><li>Work closely with the relevant stakeholders on any issue arising from bank reconciliation.</li><li>Provide support on material issues identified from audit by external auditors, GwIA &amp; Regional SOX team for bank reconciliation related area.</li><li>Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for Bank Reconciliation System.</li><li>Regularly engage in systems enhancement initiatives to improvise Finance Operations processes.</li><li>Assist on any ad hoc &amp; administrative tasks upon request.</li></ul>Job Specifications:Education<ul><li>Bachelor or Degree in finance, accountancy, banking, investment, economics or equivalent.</li><li>Internationally recognized accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, etc.) or working towards designation will be an added advantage.</li></ul>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;Experience<ul><li>At least 5 years of working experience in the financial services industry such as insurance or banking.</li><li>At least 2 years of working experience in a supervisory and managerial role.</li><li>Working experience in the financial services industry such as insurance or banking will be an added advantage.</li></ul>Special Business Knowledge and Skills&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;<ul><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications &amp; financial accounting system.</li><li>Knowledge in any bank reconciliation system will be an advantage.</li><li>Strong analytical and resolution skills.</li></ul>Others<ul><li>Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English.</li><li>Good interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Independent, organized and possess good work ethics with a positive attitude.</li><li>Flexible and able to adapt in a dynamic environment.</li><li>Attention to details, meticulous and diligent.</li><li>Strict compliance with all applicable deadlines and able to work under pressure.</li><li>Responsible and willing to learn.</li></ul>&nbsp; Prudential is an equal opportunity employer.
