The Building Maintenance Engineering Officer is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all building systems and equipment. This role ensures that the building’s infrastructure is maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe and comfortable environment for all occupants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the building to identify and address maintenance issues.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
• Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair work.
• Energy Management: Monitor and optimize energy usage to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and management of the maintenance budget.

Qualifications:

• Education: Degree in Building Technology Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Additional Certificate: Electrical Chargeman preferable A4 or minimum A0
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in building maintenance or a similar role.
• Skills:
  • Strong knowledge on general building construction technology
  • Adequate technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using computer and basic management software.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to work flexi hours.
• Able to work in a hospitality industry environment (e.g. resorts, hotel).
• Able to handle urgent and last minutes job request.
• Able to base at Resorts World Genting, Pahang

Working Hours:

• Full-time position with occasional on-call duties for emergencies.
