Job Description

Responsibilities

R&D Executive is responsible for NPD Process for the assigned department. He/She works very closely with production, QA, customer services, sales as well as regulatory affairs to deliver the product request, quality and compliance under the guidance and supervision of the direct superior.

Description of position

• Execute NPD processes from concept to commercialization including development, shelf life study, TDS, etc under supervision
• Assist & lead all development and optimization initiatives for innovative, renovation and cost optimization projects
• Assist & lead pilot and industrial trial run processes, trouble-shooting and improvements in control settings
• Develop new product development and transfer recipes from headquarter
• Organization and planning of pilot plant and pilot plant tests.
• Lead pilot plant maintenance with technician and maintenance team.
• Evaluate and propose the need of purchase tools and equipment.
• Responsible for new product code creation in SAP master data, specification (TDS) creation and other necessary SAP processes
• Assists and lead projects of the department and reporting to stakeholders
• To perform ad hoc tasks assigned by superior from time to time

• Demonstrate flexibility with the ability to work on project based on priorities; willing to work on assignments of varying difficulty.
• Willing to learn, R&D and production department process and procedures.

Position skills

• Knowledge in food technology and formulation, food analysis, oils and fats theoretic and practice, chemistry and formulation.
• Knowledge and understanding of food process regulations and requirement
• Integrity and approachability, must feel able to discuss sensitive and confidential issues;
• Curiosity and a willingness to challenge organizational culture where necessary;
• The ability to compile and interpret statistical data and communicate it in a professional and understandable manner;

Job Requirements

Education requirement

Food Science, Food Technology related degrees;

Educations qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology / Science & Nutrition / Culinary Arts / Chemistry / Biology or equivalent

Work / year experience requirement

More than 3 years in food company (Chocolate & Confectionary, oils and fats, ice cream or UHT Products is a plus)
