Job Description

We are looking for responsible and committed Senior / Junior Conveyancing Clerks to join our legal team in Melaka and Petaling Jaya. The role involves handling conveyancing matters and supporting lawyers to ensure transactions are completed efficiently and accurately, including attending site signings when required.

Responsibilities:  

  • Handle conveyancing matters including sub-sale transactions, developer projects, loan documentation, discharge of charge, and perfection of transfer and charge.
     
  • Attend site signings and assist clients in the execution of relevant conveyancing documents.
     
  • Liaise with clients, bankers, developers, land offices, government authorities, and relevant stakeholders.
     
  • Prepare, manage, and maintain proper documentation and filing of conveyancing files.
     
  • Follow up on files to ensure timely completion of transactions and payment.
     
  • Assist lawyers in monitoring and managing file progress.
     
  • Senior clerks are expected to guide and supervise junior staff when required.

Job Requirements

Requirements:  

  • Relevant experience in conveyancing matters, including sub-sale and/or project files.
     
  • Senior clerks should be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
     
  • Junior clerks should be willing to learn and develop in conveyancing practice.
     
  • Good knowledge of conveyancing procedures, banking requirements, and dealings with land offices.
     
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
     
  • Mandarin proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking) is an added advantage.
     
  • Meticulous, responsible, and able to meet deadlines.
     
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
     
  • Possess a valid driving licence and own transport.
     
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
