Position Responsibilities
Part 1 — Primary roles of the job which are measurable and may be used as part of KPIs
Trend Analysis and Market Research
- Lead the ideation and conceptualization of new beverage concepts, drawing inspiration from market trends, consumer insights, and internal innovation initiatives.
- Develop innovative and differentiated beverage recipes that align with our brand identity, target audience, and business objectives.
- Conduct market research, conduct consumer surveys, and sensory evaluations to identify emerging trends and opportunities for innovation.
Product Development
- Create and enhance drinks menu that fill a niche in the competitive F&B market
- Responsible for developing new beverage based on market trend, sales data, operation effectiveness and customer demography
- Generate innovative and creative ideas to merge food and beverage as a single SKU
- Experiment with various ingredients, flavors, and techniques to achieve desired taste profiles, texture, and visual appeal
- Responsible for the upkeep of product SOP
- Maintain project file, develop technical manual and document intellectual property
Product Lifecycle Optimization
- Grow - Drive product growth through application of key ingredients into other SKUs
- Maintain - Introduce product variations, extensions and/or recipe improvements, identify cost reduction opportunities
- Minimize - Conduct continuous assessment of product market fit and initiate offboarding when necessary
Part 2 — Secondary roles which supports the primary roles above
Supplier & Vendor Management
- Identify potential suppliers and maintain good rapport
- Work with vendors and suppliers to manage timely development of key ingredients
Quality Assurance
- Collaborate with QA teams to maintain high product standards
- Ensure all products are in compliance to halal requirements, health and safety regulations
- Conduct investigations and propose solutions to address all product complaints or feedback
Sensory Evaluation
- Responsible for all internal, committee and mass testing, collation & presentation of data
- Regularly introduce process improvements to improve testing procedures
- Conduct sensory evaluations and quality tests to assess product attributes and identify areas for improvement
Cross Functional Team Collaboration
- Provide insights for Product Go-to-Market team to craft go-to-market strategies
- Work with other departments (Supply Chain, QA, Marketing, Operations, Halal) to assess overall feasibility of product launch timeline
- Collaborate closely with Go-to-Market team to plan for product deployment
