Monitor and manage daily plant operations at Bukit Minyak Plant & Ipoh Plant to ensure safety and efficiency, coordinating workflows between vendors, workers, and maintenance team.
Plan and lead productivity improvement program to productivity targets set.
Manage workforce scheduling and manpower arrangement, to meet production demands without compromising safety or budget.
Support the Production Manager in identifying, justifying, and executing capital projects for new or additional production facility setups.
Ensure total compliance with national/local legislation, Air Liquide Industrial Management Systems (IMS), and ISO 9001 standards.
Manage site activities to meet Food and Pharma requirements; strictly monitor and report any non-conformities regarding the FPCMS to the subsidiary compliance leadership.
Exercise Stop Work Authority immediately when unsafe actions or conditions are detected and support others in doing the same.
Act as the gatekeeper for the IMS Facility; authorize or halt changes if processes or documentation within the MOC process are incomplete.
Lead the investigation and resolution of product out-of-spec incidents, machinery failures, and customer quality complaints.
Assist the maintenance team during machinery breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure rapid recovery of production capabilities.
Manage the sourcing and purchasing of equipment and materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality or safety.
Travel to customer sites when necessary to collaborate with the Sales Department and understand actual customer requirements.
Provide technical solutions and support for product application issues to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Champion the training and development of plant personnel, ensuring the team is qualified to meet both current operational needs and future company requirements.
Actively promote and enforce the company’s core Safety and Quality values across the workforce.
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, or related Engineering field.
At least 1 year of relevant experience, with production planning experience being an advantage.
Familiarity with field troubleshooting experiences.
Knowledge of process equipment and maintenance management practices.
Proficiency in data analytics and interpretation.
Great interpersonal skills, adept at communication and maintaining relationships at all levels, including customers.
Willingness to travel as required.
Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a dynamic, multi-site operational environment.
