Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced and proactive professional to join our export operations team as a Export Customer Service Executive (Air & Sea Freight).

The ideal candidate will not only manage daily export operations but also lead process improvements, develop and maintain SOPs, and team members to strengthen the department’s overall capability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee end-to-end export operations for both air and sea freight, from booking to final delivery.
  • Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of all export documentation (Bill of Lading, Air Waybill, commercial invoice, packing list, export declaration, etc.).
  • Coordinate with airlines, shipping lines, co-loaders, customers, and overseas agents to ensure timely and efficient shipment handling.
  • Develop, implement, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve operational consistency and compliance.
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members to enhance their product knowledge, process understanding, and service quality.
  • Act as the key point of contact for complex export issues and provide guidance to ensure smooth problem resolution.
  • Monitor shipment performance and proactively communicate updates to customers.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, trade compliance regulations, and Incoterms.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in freight forwarding, with solid exposure to both air and sea export operations.
  • Proven ability to develop SOPs and train or lead team members within a logistics environment.
  • Strong understanding of export documentation, customs regulations, and international shipping procedures.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with freight management systems (e.g., Freightlab, SAP, or similar).
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
