Job Description

Emerge runs a producer model alongside our salaried broking team. Producers are commercially-minded individuals — current or former insurance professionals, ex-corporate buyers, retired executives with deep industry networks, or specialists in a target vertical — who originate commercial insurance opportunities for the group. You bring the relationship and the prospect; we bring the technical broking, market access, capacity, and back-office.

This is not a salaried role. It is a long-term commercial partnership built on commission-sharing. The right producer can build a meaningful recurring income stream from a handful of well-chosen accounts, with the support of a full broker behind them.

  

Target industries

We are particularly interested in producers with deep relationships in any of the following verticals. You don't need to cover all of these — depth in one or two is more valuable than surface coverage of many.

  •  Manufacturing — General manufacturing, automotive parts, machinery, F&B processing
  •  Energy — Oil & gas, renewables (solar, hydro), utilities, EPCC contractors
  •  Healthcare — Hospitals, group practices, medical device distributors, individual practitioners
  •  Electronics & technology — Semiconductors, EMS, consumer electronics manufacturers and distributors
  •  Construction & infrastructure — Civil works, MEP contractors, property developers, infrastructure
  •  Logistics & transport — 3PL operators, last-mile delivery, ride-hail fleets, distribution companies
  •  Marine & shipping — Cargo owners, freight forwarders, shipowners, port operators
  •  Hospitality & F&B — Hotels, restaurant chains, F&B groups, event venues
  •  Software & SaaS — SaaS, fintech, cybersecurity firms (cyber, tech E&O, D&O exposures)
  •  Plantation & agriculture — Plantation groups, agribusiness, aquaculture
  •  Professional services — Architects, engineers, lawyers, accountants 
  •  Financial services — Asset managers, family offices, fintech operators
  •  Education — Universities, international schools, education groups
  •  Retail & wholesale — Distribution centres, large-format retail, e-commerce operators

What you do

  •  Identify and introduce commercial insurance prospects in your network: corporates, SMEs, group buyers.
  •  Work with the Emerge team to scope the opportunity, gather underwriting information, and shape the placement strategy.
  •  Stay involved through the placement and renewal cycle — be the trusted face for the client even as our technical team does the underlying broking work.
  •  Help retain and grow accounts you originate; identify cross-sell and adjacent opportunities (e.g., a manufacturer prospect who also needs marine cargo, D&O, employee benefits).

What we provide

  •  Full placement infrastructure: market access across direct insurers, takaful operators, and Lloyd's / Labuan reinsurance markets
  •  Technical team to handle submissions, negotiations, slip drafting, and placement execution.
  •  Operational team to handle policy administration, endorsements, renewals, claims liaison.
  •  Marketing collateral, capability decks, and case studies for prospect conversations.
  •  Compliance support: KYC, AML, sanctions screening, regulatory documentation.

Job Requirements

  Who we are looking for

  •  Current or former insurance broker producers, agency leaders, or insurer business development executives looking for a more entrepreneurial setup.
  •  Retired or semi-retired insurance executives with strong corporate relationships and time to keep relationships warm.
  •  Industry insiders — ex-CFOs, ex-procurement leaders, ex-risk managers — who know the buyers in their vertical and want to monetise that network.
  •  Specialists in any of the target verticals above who understand the risk profile of their industry and can speak credibly to prospects.

Compensation framework

We pay a share of net commission earned on accounts you originate, paid for as long as the account remains with Emerge. Specific terms are negotiated case-by-case but typically fall within a defined band, with floor and ceiling depending on (a) whether you also own ongoing servicing or pass it to the Emerge team, (b) account size, and (c) renewal vintage.
