Intern – Finance

Employment Type: Internship

This internship offers students pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields an opportunity to gain practical experience in financial operations within the dynamic oil and gas sector. Interns will work closely with the Finance Team, contributing to key processes such as reporting, analysis, and budgeting. This experience provides a valuable foundation for building a career in finance.

Interns must be available to start in March 2025. Interns will be given a monthly allowance. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email/phone call.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assist with preparing financial reports and analysis related to operations and project performance.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Help track financial transactions and assist in maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Participate in cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
  • Assist in reconciling accounts, reviewing invoices, and ensuring timely payment processing.
  • Support with the preparation of tax reports and financial statements.
  • Analyze financial data and assist in providing insights for decision-making.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support financial processes and contribute to project tracking.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial data and contribute to improving internal financial processes.
  • Contribute to a variety of tasks and projects as assigned, aimed at supporting and enhancing the overall finance function.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • CGPA of 3.2 or above (or equivalent academic performance)
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with other financial software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A keen interest in the oil and gas industry is highly desirable.
