Job Overview
Responsible for helping build out, maintain, and troubleshoot clientele’s rapidly expanding infrastructure. This role expected an equipped technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security.
Responsibilities
1) Primary
Familiar with either one of the following functions:
- VoIP - Designs, tests, installs and maintains both local VoIP systems in business and large networks that covers relevant regions
- VMware - Use software from VMware to virtualize Windows servers and connect them to networks and clouds. Design and implement VMware solutions, troubleshoot VM environment problems, and provide technical support.
- Server (Active Directory) - Install Active Directory program, configuring domains within the tool, and managing the directory services across a variety of Windows servers. The career typically requires extensive experience with Active Directory and other Microsoft products
- Storage - Handle and maintain data storage's engineering process, including building strategies and planning and implementing solutions for storage and maintenance of data and backing it up off-premises.
2) Secondary
- Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
- Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation
- Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maxismise network efficiency and security
- Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
- Arranging scheduled upgrades and investigating faults in the network
- Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
- Reporting network status to key stakeholders
