Job Description

We’re looking for a driven and customer-focused Business Development Consultant to spearhead our sales efforts and drive adoption of our e-Invoicing platform among SMEs in Malaysia. This role involves managing the entire sales cycle — from lead generation and prospecting to solution pitching and deal closing — while working closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for our clients.


Job Requirements

 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting
     
    • Identify, research, and engage potential SME clients through outbound and inbound channels.
       
    • Qualify leads based on business needs and readiness for e-Invoicing.
       
  • Consultative Sales & Closing
     
    • Conduct product demos, needs analysis, and solution presentations tailored to each client.
       
    • Drive the sales process from first contact to signed agreement.
       
    • Prepare proposals, pricing, and follow-up documentation.
       
  • Relationship Management
     
    • Act as the primary contact for prospects during the pre-sale stage.
       
    • Build trust and long-term relationships to facilitate cross-sell/upsell opportunities.
       
  • Collaboration & Feedback
     
    • Work with the marketing team to optimize campaigns and messaging.
       
    • Collaborate with product and customer success teams to ensure a seamless handover after sales.
       
    • Share client feedback and trends to help improve product-market fit.
       

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2–5 years experience in B2B sales, preferably in SaaS or digital services.
     
  • Strong track record in achieving or exceeding sales targets.
     
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
     
  • Confident in conducting product presentations and negotiations.
     
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative and ownership mindset.
     
  • Able to understand technical product features and translate them into business value.
     
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
     

Bonus / Preferred

  • Prior experience selling to SMEs or accounting/finance-related industries.
     
  • Understanding of Malaysia’s e-Invoicing compliance landscape.
     
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho, Pipedrive).
