We’re looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our team as a Barback, with the potential to grow into a Bartender role. This position is perfect for someone passionate about the bar industry, eager to learn, and excited to develop the skills needed to craft exceptional drinks and deliver outstanding guest experiences.

As a Barback, you will support the bar team during service, ensuring smooth operations and a clean, organized workspace. Over time, you’ll receive hands-on training to become a Bartender, learning everything from mixology techniques to customer engagement and inventory management.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Barback Duties:

• Restock the bar with spirits, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and supplies during service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including wiping surfaces, cleaning spills, and washing glassware.
• Replenish ice, kegs, and other essential items to ensure bartenders can serve efficiently.
• Assist bartenders in preparing garnishes and basic drink components.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock needs to the team.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all bar operations.

Training and Development:

• Learn bar operations, including drink preparation, recipe execution, and bar setup/close-down procedures.
• Shadow experienced bartenders to understand the art of mixology and guest interaction.
• Participate in regular training sessions covering cocktail techniques, bar tools, and customer service.

Bartender Duties (Post-Training):

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, beer, and wine, according to recipes and guest preferences.
• Engage with guests to create a welcoming and memorable bar experience.
• Maintain consistent quality and presentation for all drinks served.
• Collaborate with the bar team to develop new cocktails and seasonal specials.
• Handle cash, tabs, and point-of-sale transactions accurately.

Qualifications:

• A passion for hospitality and interest in cocktail culture.
• Strong physical stamina to lift and carry heavy items (e.g., kegs, ice buckets).
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the bar industry.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous experience in hospitality is a plus but not required.
