Job Title: Japanese Translator/Interpreter

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Japanese Translator/Interpreter to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide translation and interpretation support to ensure seamless communication between Japanese and English speakers. This role involves responding to emails, attending meetings, and facilitating decision-making processes by presenting proposed changes in Japanese. A certification in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) at N3 level or higher is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Email Communication:

• Respond promptly to all emails from Japanese customers.

• Ensure clear, accurate, and professional communication in all correspondence.

Meetings and Calls:

• Attend calls, meetings, and escalations to provide real-time interpretation and translation support.

• Facilitate discussions by accurately conveying messages between Japanese and English-speaking participants.

iCAB Meetings and Proposals:

• Participate in weekly iCAB meetings.

• Present proposed changes in Japanese to ensure clarity and facilitate decision-making and approvals.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Language Proficiency: JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) N3 or higher certification is mandatory.

• Experience: Previous experience in translation and interpretation roles is preferred.

• Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in translations.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with business correspondence and technical terminology is an advantage.

Work Environment:

This position may require attending virtual and in-person meetings, responding to high volumes of emails, and working in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility and adaptability are essential to meet the dynamic needs of the role.
