Job Description

Transport & Logistics Coordination

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily transport operations
  • Allocate vehicles and drivers according to delivery and operational requirements
  • Monitor vehicle movements and ensure on-time deliveries
  • Liaise with drivers regarding routes, schedules, and operational instructions
  • Prepare vehicles for internal and external inspections (roadworthy, safety, compliance)
  • Coordinate and schedule vehicle servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance
  • Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and repair activities
  • Report and follow up on vehicle defects and breakdowns
  • Communicate with internal departments regarding transport schedules and requirements
  • Liaise with external service providers, transport contractors, and authorities
  • Handle delivery queries, delays, and operational issues professionally

Administrative Duties

  • Prepare and maintain transport documentation (trip sheets, delivery notes, PODs, invoices)
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance
  • Capture transport and logistics data accurately in systems and spreadsheets
  • File and manage all transport-related documentation
  • Compile transport and logistics reports as required
  • Monitor validity of driver licenses, medicals and permits are current
  • Ensure compliance with transport legislation, safety standards, and company policies
  • Apply for, renew, and manage port passes for drivers

Job Requirements

 Education

  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience

  • 1–3+ years of experience in transport, logistics, or supply chain administration (preferred).
     
  • Experience with transport coordination, shipment tracking, and vendor management.
