Support the development of a risk-based approach to supplier selection and contracting which is aligned to BP’s values and standards; Review, negotiate and finalize contractual terms and conditions for complex deals, including scope changes, variations and terminations; Develop and deliver training materials related to contract management and negotiation skills to the sourcing teams and key partners; Create and maintain template documents for use by the sourcing teams when drafting contracts; Work closely with internal legal counsel to establish effective governance structures for contract execution and administration; Provide support during major incidents or supplier insolvencies; Find opportunities for continuous improvement in contracting processes and lead initiatives to implement improvements; Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant market trends, regulatory changes and emerging risks affecting BP’s supply chain and contracting activities.
