Job Description

  

JOB PURPOSE

The renewable energy industry is shaping the future of sustainable energy. Joining the team will provide you the opportunity to work with a diverse cross-functional team within the organisation and to get your hands on different tasks which can cultivate your adaptability skills. In this role, you will get hands on experience in supporting the People & Culture team and gain exposure to various aspects of HR functions within a solar company, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. HR Administrative Matters:
    1. Handle day-to-day HR administrative tasks such as maintaining employee records, preparing HR reports, and managing leave administration.
    2. Ensure compliance with company policies and labour laws.
    3. Assist in processing payroll-related data and maintaining accurate employee records.
    4. Support HR leadership in handling employee inquiries and concerns.
  2. Recruitment:
    1. Assist in end-to-end recruitment processes, including posting job advertisements, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and etc.
    2. Assist in coordination with hiring managers to understand job requirements and candidate profiles.
    3. Maintain and update recruitment databases and candidate records.
    4. Assist in facilitating the onboarding process, ensuring smooth integration of new hires.
  3. Learning and Development:
    1. Assist in identifying employee training needs and skills gaps.
    2. Assist in coordinating the organization of training sessions, workshops, and development programs.
    3. Track employee participation and training outcomes to ensure the effectiveness of development initiatives.
  4. Employee Engagement:
    1. Actively participate in employee engagement activities and initiatives to enhance workplace culture and morale.
    2. Assist to conduct employee surveys and gather feedback to improve engagement programs.
    3. Assist in organizing company events, team-building activities, and wellness programs.
    4. Facilitate internal communication to promote transparency and positive work relationships.
  5. HR Initiatives:
    1. Participating in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving employee experience and engagement.
    2. Assisting in organizing employee engagement activities, such as team-building events and recognition programs.
    3. Supporting the HR team in any other ad hoc tasks or projects as assigned.
  6. Performance Appraisal Management:
    1. Support managers in conducting performance evaluations by preparing necessary documentation.

Job Requirements

  JOB COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENT

  • Good knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational abilities.
  • Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve project-related challenges.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Self-driven and proactive in finding solutions and meeting company objectives.

  

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Formal Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Administration/Management, Human Resource Management or a related field (Language is an added bonus)

 

Work Experience

  • Total Relevant Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a similar role preferred. Fresh graduates are welcome. 

Skills / Knowledge/ Qualifications

  • Fluency in English language (Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia is an added bonus).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Adept at Excel for data compilation and analysis
