Job Description

Orissa International is looking for a Business Development Executive based in Kuala Lumpur to support our clients with lead generation and developing new business for them in Malaysia. The ideal candidate will be skilled in B2B sales, relationship management, and business development across multiple industries. 

Key Responsibilities

  •  Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify key trends and competitor activities within the Malaysian market. Utilize insights to develop targeted strategies for market penetration.
  •  Sales Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive strategies for expanding the sales of our client’s products or services in Malaysia. This includes identifying key target segments, setting sales targets, and establishing distribution channels.
  •  New Business Acquisition: Actively prospect and acquire new business opportunities, including partnerships, distributors, and other channels to increase product visibility and sales volume.
  •  Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact for all business-related inquiries and negotiations. 
  •  Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports summarizing sales activities, achievements, and challenges. Provide timely updates to the management team on market developments and sales performance.

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in business development or sales within the engineering, technical, or ICT sectors. 
  • Proven ability to conduct cold calls and generate new business opportunities.
  • Demonstrated track record of expanding market presence and driving sales growth. 
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian market dynamics and regulatory environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently and under pressure. 
  • Strong command of written and spoken English. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Able to prioritise tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic.
