Job Description
We are recruiting a Mechanical Engineer for a client of ours to be part of their Manufacturing team. They build world leading scientific instruments.
The role requires you to be the main person to support new product development builds and ongoing improvements to existing hardware products. You will ensure the products built are of world class standards. Finally, you will work with the Design team to determine manufacturing and product specifications.
Today, our client has more than 8000 employees across more than 80 sites globally.

Job Requirements
Your main responsibilities
- Create and revise CAD models and drawings in Solidworks
- Prepare ECOs for parts, BOMs, routings, and product documentation
- Prepare, release, and revise company procedures per process requirements
- Develop Manufacturing Processes, Documentation, Tooling, and Test Fixtures
- Other duties assigned by your manager
The ideal candidate would have
- Candidates should have a Masters plus 3 years of experience in related field or a BS in Mechanical Engineering plus 5 years of experience in Scientific Equipment industry
- Advanced skills and experience with creating and editing part, assembly, and drawing files in Solidworks and / or SolidEdge
- Experience in creation and interpretation of GD&T
- Extensive knowledge of product BOM structures, their creation, and management.
- Track record in writing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
- Experience using SAP material masters, BOMs, Routings or similar ERP
- Strong understanding of complex electromechanical assemblies
- Excellent English communication skills and experience working with global stakeholders
