Job Description

We are seeking an ambitious and strategic Business Development Manager to lead our corporate sales efforts in the events industry. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with corporate clients, and creating tailored event solutions that align with their business objectives.

This role requires a strong background in B2B sales, an understanding of corporate marketing and branding needs, and the ability to translate those needs into experiential event opportunities.

🔍 New Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new B2B opportunities across various industries and sectors.
     
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of corporate prospects.
     
  • Conduct outreach via cold calls, networking, LinkedIn, email, and corporate referrals.
     

💼 Client Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers (marketing heads, HR, procurement, etc.).
     
  • Understand client challenges and propose innovative, brand-aligned event solutions.
     
  • Serve as the primary point of contact from first pitch to handover.
     

📝 Proposal & Pitching

  • Collaborate with internal planning and creative teams to craft persuasive proposals and presentations.
     
  • Deliver compelling pitches and customized presentations to prospective clients.
     
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and close deals.
     

📊 Market Insight & Strategy

  • Monitor industry and market trends to stay competitive and identify untapped segments.
     
  • Gather client feedback to refine services and event offerings.
     

🤝 Internal Coordination

  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure a smooth handover post-confirmation.
     
  • Align closely with marketing for brand campaigns, lead-gen, and collateral development.
     

📈 Reporting

  • Maintain accurate sales reports, deal pipelines, and revenue forecasts.
     
  • Track KPIs and report performance to senior management regularly.
     

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Event Management, or related fields.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, corporate sales, or client servicing.
     
  • Experience in the event, marketing agency, or media industry is a strong advantage.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding B2B sales targets.
     
  • Excellent communication, pitching, and negotiation skills.
     
  • Strong client-facing presence and confidence in presenting to senior executives.
     
  • Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset and solution-selling approach.
     
  • Able to manage long sales cycles and multiple high-value deals simultaneously.
     

Tools: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Asana, Salesforce)
 

Other Requirements:

  • Must possess own transport (car) for client meetings.
     
  • Willing to attend networking events, expos, or client activations, including occasional evenings or weekends.
