and adventure-based activities across Malaysia. Through our app, vendors and

operators can list their travel packages – from jungle trekking and scuba diving to

ziplining and eco-resort stays – making it easier for travelers to discover, book, and

experience the best of Malaysia’s outdoors.

We are seeking a passionate and driven Business Development professional to join

our team and help expand our vendor partnerships, grow our customer base, and

strengthen Walaway as the go-to platform for adventure and nature tourism in

Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities:

Vendor & Partnership Development

  • Identify, approach, and onboard new vendors/operators of nature and adventure-based activities nationwide.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements, commission structures, and package offerings.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors to ensure service quality and customer satisfaction.

Market Expansion & Strategy

  • Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities in the eco-tourism and adventure travel sector.
  • Develop strategies to increase app adoption among vendors and customers.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional campaigns for partner packages.

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Drive revenue by increasing vendor listings, package sales, and customer engagement.
  • Achieve and exceed business development KPIs (vendor onboarding, package volume,sales targets).
  • Explore cross-promotional opportunities with hotels, airlines, and tourism boards.

Platform & Product Collaboration

  • Work closely with the product and operations team to ensure vendor needs are met on the platform.
  • Provide feedback on app usability, booking flow, and vendor integration.
  • Assist in developing exclusive packages and seasonal campaigns (e.g., school holidays, long weekends, international events).

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Represent Walaway Vacations at trade fairs, tourism events, and networking sessions.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, tourism boards (e.g., Tourism Malaysia), and associations to promote eco-adventure tourism.


Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Tourism Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnership management (travel/tourism/OTA background preferred).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and networking skills.
  • Familiarity with Malaysia’s tourism landscape, especially nature & adventure activities.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin/Tamil is a bonus).
